BTS Old Logo (2013-2016)

There are almost four types of BTS Logo used since 2013. There were some alterations but the main idea and designed remained the same.

The old Logo of BTS was quite cluttered. It was a bulletproof vest showcased with a lot of specifics on its front. It was in white or silver against the black background, as well as a BTS inscription. Also, both sides of the vest were gardened with a lightning bolt together with outward spikes creating a circular ring around the vest.

2016

In Early 2017, the BTS symbol followed the same pattern of four ellipses but was empty this time. Each circle traversing end to end with two ellipses. There lie letters “Wings” and “You Never Walk Alone,” spanning two lines in blue.

2017-till now

BTS new logo appeared as the two pairs of trapezoids facing the shortest sides. The trapezoids epitomize half-open doors from the inside and outside and personifying mirror images of each other.

The Logo comprises two parts:

“The ARMY” (two trapezoids representing the half-open doors outside)

 “BTS” (two trapezoids symbolizing the half-open doors inside)

There’s a unique twist in these two parts. When we join both logos as the ARMY half is placed underneath the BTS, put on top of it, it completes as a shield. The shield towards the harsh world. The Logo is silver on the black background.

Who designed the BTS icon??

According to the HYBE Labels former Big Hit Entertainment official, the BTS icon was being developed by Korea’s top design firm. The name is kept secret. The development process of the emblem took almost a year with HYBE Labels staff’s cooperation, BTS members’ opinions, research of the other K-Pop group, and Fandom’s choice.

The BTS icon came out as two trapezoids that represent doors half-open on the inside, that symbolizes “ARMY meeting BTS at the doors.”. it was confirmed by septet themselves “us and army becoming one together.”  

°       Logo Color

The designers set for a simple black for the Logo, maintaining the beautiful combination of sophistication with simplicity. The lettering for the names ARMY and BTS is in silver, putting a touch of gloss just like a cherry on top.

°        BTS Font

The font appeared as traditional sans serif at first, simply. But on closer assessment, the letters illustrate some slight modifications. 

Let’s take a look; at first glance, you may not get it. But as you further inspect, you’ll notice the split ends on the “T” as well as the soft lines of the “B” and “S.”

BTS ARMY is the only Lucky Fandom that is fortunate enough to get its own official Logo. BTS ARMY Logo is just a reverse of the BTS Logo. The two trapezoids representing the half-open doors outside. The word “ARMY” is written at the top of the Logo.
