BTS RM and Suga Gathered on“DJ Suga’s Honey FM 06.13.” Talked About His Collab, Mixtape, and More

On May 2, BTS’s RM appeared as a guest for another episode of Suga’s radio show “DJ Suga’s Honey FM 06.13.”

In the previous week, Suga broadcasted a voice-only live on their Vlive channel and answered fans’ curiosities, giving an old-school radio show vibe.

IU and Suga’s Collaboration…

On May 2, Livestream, RM became the guest on Suga’s Show and they both talked on various topics, including Suga’s upcoming collaboration with IU. Suga assisted the creation, produced, and features on her upcoming single, “Eight,” which is set to be released on May 6.

According to Soompi’s Translation, RM said,  

“I’ve heard it! It’s really good. It’s a song to listen to while driving. I don’t have my driver’s license, but as soon as I heard it, I thought it was a perfect driving song. I think that many people will listen to it for a long time.”

Suga also loves this song and said that:

 “I like it. The production process was very smooth so there weren’t a lot of back-and-forths. I wrote the beat and the melody came quickly after that. After I finished working on it, I listened to it a lot. After I finish working on a song, it’s released, I don’t usually listen to it. Because I can only hear the things that I wish I could do better. The moment it leaves my hands, I think the song belongs to the listeners.”

Suga’s New Mixtape…

Suga also chatted about the plans for his upcoming mixtape plans. His last and first mixtape “Agust D” containing 10 songs from ‘Dt Suga’ to ‘Agust D’, ‘Give it to me’, ‘Tony Montana’ and ‘So far away’ was released on SoundCloud back in 2016 and was well received by fans all over the world.

Regarding his next mixtape, Suga shared that

 “(The second mixtape) will come out when it’s finished. I am working on it. If I talk a little about the behind-the-scenes process, it was supposed to release in September 2019. But when I heard it, I wasn’t satisfied. I turned it over completely and I’m working hard on it now. Don’t be in too much of a hurry for it.”

RM added,

 “The mixtape was delayed due to various factors, including both external factors and Suga’s personal satisfaction. From a results perspective, I am anticipating that the result will be closer to perfect.”

About Strawberry Farm…

RM told that all OT7 went to the strawberry farm together when a fan asked.

 “We went to the strawberry farm altogether. Actually, Jin loves the strawberry and often shares it with us We are so accustomed to it. In-fact I was not sure whether we picked the right strawberries.” Suga added: Maybe the farmer would be angry at us. Because we are not familiar with that. RM continued: “I want to apologize if you’re listening to it. Because we are not farmers.”

Since then, Suga and RM read the story of ‘Byeoljubujeon‘ (a Korean folk tale) and added a lot of fun on Suga’s Honey FM 06.13.

They have also talked about the current status of BTS. BTS was originally planned to commence their ‘BTS MAP OF THE SOUL TOUR‘ in various locations around the world. It had to start with a performance in the main stadium of Jamsil Sports Complex in Songpa-gu, Seoul in mid-April.

But now, it is canceled in order to prevent the COVID-19, and temporarily postponed in overseas.
Since then, BTS spends time in self-management and hobbies such as exercise, painting, reading, and studying English.

Suga said: “I used to resent Corona 19, but now I am very inclined and trying my best to develop myself. I’m going to have a concert someday, but for now, I’m drawing hard to become more wonderful and doing a lot of body care these days.”

In the end, both promised to return with more content in the future. Suga said, “It was very healing to communicate with people like this. In these times, there are a lot of benefits to this.” RM expressed, “It was fun. I will come whenever you call.” After he left, Suga said, “It’s quiet when I do this alone, but there’s a different flavor when I do it with someone else.”
