On July 6, BTS makes history again by Black Swan hitting #1 on the iTunes charts in 104 countries. This broke the 5-year-long record previously held by Adele with 102 countries.
She gained this record in 2015 when she released the critically-acclaimed song “Hello”.
The group broke the all-time record of the song with the most iTunes #1’s worldwide on the morning of July 6. ARMYs worked hard to increase the winning streak of “Black Swan” from 97 to 104 countries on iTunes.
“Black Swan” is a track from their album Map of the Soul: 7, and its music video was released surprisingly on March 4, 2020. With 104 countries behind them, BTS broke Adele‘s record of charting #1 on iTunes in 102 countries.
In celebration of this feat, ARMY all over the world is trending ‘BTS WORLD DOMINATION‘, hitting #1 on Twitter’s worldwide trends. Other related trending terms are ‘#DidOurThing‘ and ‘#SpotifyPartyWithBTS_D2‘.
Meanwhile BTS‘s latest release ‘Stay Gold’ is also their 20th song to chart #1 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart, making them the artist with most songs to reach #1 on this chart.
BTS member also reached at 96 world #1’s on iTunes with “Sweet Night”, V‘s OST for the drama Itaewon Class.
