Big Hit responded about the military enlistment of the idol. Army have relief as BTS Jin military enlistment has postponed!
BTS Jin’s military enlistment was under the light for months since it was the year he had to enlist in mandatory military service. The oldest member of BTS, Jin, had turned 28 in December 2019. According to the Military service act of South Korea, the men should enlist by the age of 28.
On September 1, the Korean Government decided that K-Pop artists can postpone their mandatary enlistment until 30. After the decision, BTS’s agency Big Hit revealed that they can now delay the enlistment pf Jin. Big Hit mentioned that Jin’s enlistment could be delayed until the end of 2021. The news was confirmed in the stock report by Financial Supervisor Service’s electronic disclosure system.
According to the reports, Big Hit stated that,
“BTS is composed of members born in 1992 to 1997 and eligible for active duty service. We believe that it is possible to postpone Jin’s enlistment date until the end of 2021.”
The news made the army a sigh of relief as they are worried about his enlistment and BTS’s future once Jin starts his training. The label also added that they are continuously expanding the merchandise and video content sale that will not require the artist’s direct involvement. Big Hit said
“To prepare for events such as military enlistment, sickness, or accidents, we are continuously expanding our merchandise and video content sales that do not involve any direct artist activities.”
“In order to minimize the risk of reduction in sales due to the planned vacancy of major artists, we are reviewing various fields such as pre-production contents such as album video contents and flexible artist management through active members.”
Wish the Best To BTS!
